Following generations of tradition, BC’s commercial fishermen harvest wild salmon with the greatest skill, pride and care by trolling, seining and gillnetting. Today’s fishermen also use electronic technology to help identify species of fish, and further ensure highly selective fishing practices and responsible resource management. They are recognized for continually striving to develop their harvest methods to not only ensure a consistent, top quality product for the customer, but also to ensure a healthy habitat and sustainable resource for everyone today and tomorrow.
